Who we are
DHYLO runs dhylo.dev and is responsible for the personal information described here. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect
- When you ask for a free draft: your name, business name, email address and anything you choose to tell us about your business.
- While we work together: your messages and change requests, which drafts you've opened, your access code, and the details we need to run your website (such as your domain and site address).
- If you leave a review: the name and business you give us, your rating and your words.
- Anonymous visit counts: which page was viewed, the website that linked you here, the campaign tag in the link (if any) and whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer. We don't store your IP address. To count unique visitors we use a code made from your connection details that changes every day, so visits can't be linked from one day to the next. If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", we don't count your visit at all.
Cookies
The public website and client portal don't set tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookie we use keeps our own team signed in to our admin area.
Why we use it
- To design your draft, show it to you, make changes and, if you go ahead, launch and look after your website. This is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
- To email you about your draft, such as when it's ready or your access code is about to expire.
- To show reviews you've agreed to let us publish.
- To understand which pages are useful, using the anonymous visit counts above. This is in our legitimate interest and doesn't identify you.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use a small number of services to run DHYLO, who only handle it on our behalf:
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server where your details and drafts are stored.
- Cloudflare, which delivers the website securely and forwards email sent to our address.
- Resend, which sends our emails to you.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this website. Your browser downloads them directly from Google, which sees your IP address when it does.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Draft requests and customer records: for as long as we're working together or looking after your website. Ask us any time and we'll delete them, unless we have to keep something by law (for example, invoices).
- Anonymous visit counts: about a year, then they're deleted automatically.
- Published reviews: until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop using it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
